Built original version of forum. Used phpbb forum software, provided by my web host. The version had a lot of vulnerability to spamming, and little security options to stop it. I broke it about eight times before it got it working at all, so the thought of upgrading it, had the "fear" associated with it. I really didn't want to loose all the great information we had unearthed and building progress logs.

I think all topics (important ones) have been moved over. Title banner was uploaded and linked.
Need to validate posts against the original forum. Once ok'd, will change all member address' and let them know we are open for business.
It costs $7 a month, to make this site ad-free. Maybe the members, or a sponsor (hint hint) would like to cover the cost.

Now that the new forum has been going for awhile and all the kinks seem worked out, I just wanna reiterate what a massive job it was for Lunadude to move everything in the time he did.
Spammers? What spammers? The last time I looked at the old forum before deleting the bookmark, there were some 300+ members. Good riddance to bad spam and all the ridiculous porn the site was getting hit with every hour.

I did some dabbling. The previous rankings were kinda stupid.  I changed them to something less stupid.  They will likely change again as a better idea is found. Suggest ideas! |

Just noticed that the 'new' forum is about 5 months old and we are about 2 months away from the original idea's conception.
In that time, the 'original' forum's address had literally thousands of spammers signing up and posting all sorts of porn going into the quite deviant. It was surprising! There was no way to stem the flow.
This 'new' address has had a few spammers, but we've been able to incrementally up the defenses and block them out. The way a Defense Commission should!
