Two months later, I'm unstuck.
The aft was generally good. There are a couple small scratches, but I am okay with those as they merely expose the base silver pass I gave the whole body in the undercoats. The bow was another matter. I baselined that back to off-white last night. Tonight, I masked, airbrushed and untaped a round of light gray panels. I have no pix at this time.
All that remains is a dark gray mask with a silver highlight pass. From there, glue all the extras down and decal the provided flag on the side. I don't know if any more build pix will occur until I post in the Finished Gallery.

The 2nd gray is down. There are afew smudges, but I have some ideas on how to best fix them. I will do a brief silver pass and begin assembly of the remaining fiddlybits, a dozen or so. I will have more pix coming in the next post.

I touched up some overspray with an ultra-brand-new file and managed to scrape away the top layer while leaving the underlying-white untouched. It's not perfect by any means; but is far better now.
I sprayed the wires white. Those will be snipped tomorrow and all pieces glued on, completing the kit. I think I will pour some glue into a paint well and dab the pieces, rather than try to apply the glue directly. It would only ball up that way.
The 9 'vent' pieces were spraysed black. I then went with a wet silver around the perimeter to cover the outer walls and dry brushed softly across the faces to pull the vents out.
The four other pieces went silver to match some other silver details.
Lastly, I silvered the bow here and there, touched up some other silver on the aft and did some detailing around the engine bells.
All resin pieces had flash. It was mostly whisked away with a fingernail or the flat of a blade. Easy.
Pix to follow.

When you see the others now up there George, you will see thatI blanked out on where those 8 sensor squares go. Two look to go on the end of the stbd wires. But the other 6... I just made a judgment call and went ahead. Let me know how bad I guessed!

Awesome! Great video. I agree! The narrated video is a refreshing change from the static images. May try some myself.

*All five vid links are in post#24 now.* Thanks both of you. Somewhere in there I think I mention that I'll repaint the kit in a few years when I am that much better. As it is the latest airbrush work, it is also the best I've done yet by definition. Three months ago, I could not have gotten this kit as close to the way I want it as I have just done. I gotta say that having a pipeline setup is great in this regard. With start/finisihng Kit 1 before going to kit 2, your skills ramp up and die fast as you move to the next stage. Batching several models gives you a hardcore workout with each discipline and the skills cool slower so when you loop back on them, you're building from near your previous plateau, as opposed to from the valley. I guess I'd honestly give it a B. I'm the only one who has seen the closeups so far, I know the sloppiness I am seeing. So... Move on and do the next one better is what I say. Awesome! Great video. ... The narrated video is a refreshing change from the static images. May try some myself. Yeah., it was fun It was my magnetic vipers video a few months ago that sparked the idea. I just wanted to show the specific gluing of the first four wires on this one, but it quickly turned into what it is. Laying out the basic theorem in the Intro was the challenge requiring I think 5 takes to draft out. But Parts 2-5 were one continuous take I cut for youtube reasons. I've seen a few legionaries from the 501st do armor build vlogs. You can find the astromech guys talking about their builds on youtube as well, but they mostly show off a few seconds of their droid n action rather than discuss what they've done to get it to that point. Now that I think of it, even the Captain did a few podcasts back in the day. After doing these, I will do more, though sparingly. I did all the editing in QT. Keep in mind that you have to watch every minute you record at least once to judge it. More than once to make sure you cut it right. Then watch it online to make sure it transferred error free. I'm glad these clips totaled only 23 mins or so!
