Federation Models 1/72 Discovery

Federation Models has put out a 1/72 kit of the Discovery based on the masters that I created for the TimeSlip kit.

The details are crisp and clean and the kit reflects the new info about the ship from BleRay DVDs and the new 2001 book, most notably in the new thrusters and other parts.

Having your original kit, I wouldn't want to have to buy a brand new one. Do you think Federation would offer the new parts as an accessory pack for those who have already bought the original kit? Thinking mainly of the antennae section and engines.

You can always ask. The same thing crossed my mind since the engine section and antenna section are much more accurate and detailed.

I also thought about what kind of kit-bash I could do with the old pieces.

Probably not interested in up-grading the old kit, not worth their time. Try CultTvman, he knows people at Federation models.
